This Privacy Policy explains how TrekBudget ("I," "my") handles information when you use this Google Sheets add-on service. TrekBudget is designed with privacy as a core principle - I do not store your financial data.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

TrekBudget does not collect, store, or have access to:

• Your bank account transactions
• Your account balances
• Your banking credentials (username, password, PIN)
• Personal financial information
• Transaction history or patterns

3. How TrekBudget Works

TrekBudget acts solely as a data transfer facilitator:

• You authorize GoCardless to access your bank data using OAuth 2.0
• TrekBudget retrieves data from GoCardless API
• Data is written directly to your Google Sheets
• No financial data passes through or is stored on our servers

4. Information We DO Collect

4.1 GoCardless API Credentials

I store your GoCardless Secret ID and Secret Key using Google Apps Script PropertiesService. This is necessary to facilitate the connection between your Google Sheets and GoCardless API. These credentials are:

• Stored securely within your Google account
• Not accessible to me or other users
• Used solely to authenticate API requests on your behalf

4.2 License Information

If you purchase a Pro license, I collect:

• License key
• License expiry date
• License tier (Free or Pro)

This information is stored within your Google account using PropertiesService and is used solely for license validation.

4.3 Email Address

I collect your email address for:

• Pro license purchases and activation
• Important service notifications and updates
• Customer support communications

Your email address is stored securely and is never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

4.4 Usage Analytics

I may collect anonymous usage statistics such as:

• Number of accounts connected
• Feature usage patterns
• Error reports and crash logs

This data is anonymized and cannot be linked to individual users.

5. Data Storage

5.1 Your Financial Data

All transaction and balance data is stored exclusively in your Google Sheets, which you own and control. Google's privacy policy and terms govern this data storage.

5.2 Settings and Configuration

Your TrekBudget settings (GoCardless credentials, account names, preferences) are stored using Google Apps Script PropertiesService, which is:

• Isolated to your Google account
• Not accessible to other users
• Governed by Google's security and privacy policies

6. Third-Party Services

6.1 GoCardless

TrekBudget uses GoCardless for Open Banking API access. When you connect a bank account:

• You authenticate directly with GoCardless using OAuth 2.0
• GoCardless handles the secure connection to your bank
• GoCardless's privacy policy governs their data handling

6.2 Google Workspace

TrekBudget operates within Google Workspace and uses:

• Google Sheets API for data writing
• PropertiesService for settings storage
• Time-driven triggers for auto-fetch functionality

6.3 Creem (Payment Processing)

Pro license purchases are processed through Creem as the Merchant of Record. Creem handles:

• Payment processing
• License key generation
• Order and billing information

7. Data Security

I implement industry-standard security measures:

• OAuth 2.0 authentication (no password storage)
• HTTPS encryption for all API communications
• Secure credential storage using Google PropertiesService
• No server-side storage of financial data
• Minimal data collection principle

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Review your settings stored in TrekBudget
• Delete: Remove TrekBudget and all associated data by uninstalling the add-on
• Export: Your financial data is already in your Google Sheets - you own it
• Control: Manage bank connections and revoke access at any time

9. Data Deletion

To delete all TrekBudget data:

• Uninstall the TrekBudget add-on from Google Sheets
• Delete any sheets containing imported data (TB_Transactions, TB_Balances)
• Revoke access on GoCardless dashboard

This immediately and permanently removes all TrekBudget settings and connections.

10. International Users

TrekBudget is available to users worldwide. Your data is stored within your Google account, which may be located in various regions according to Google's infrastructure. I do not transfer or store your financial data on my servers.

11. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify users of significant changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Posting a notice in the TrekBudget add-on
• Sending an email notification to Pro users
